On September 9, the China Association of Medical Equipment released the list of the sixth batch of outstanding Chinese-made medical equipment. The focused ultrasound treatment system for uterine fibroids PRO2008 independently developed by SHENZHEN PRO HITU MEDICAL CO., LTD. is on the list.

The selection of outstanding Chinese-made medical equipment, which is commissioned by the Department of Planning and Information of the National Health Commission of the PRC, has been carried out by the China Association of Medical Equipment since 2015.

In May 2020, the Association launched the selection and application of the sixth batch of outstanding Chinese-made equipment products. The whole selection process was strict and standardized, and the selection criteria were formulated rigorously.

PRO2008

The Focused Ultrasound Therapeutic System for Uterine Fibroids (PRO2008) developed by PRO was included in this list. This system uses an innovative ablation model and therefore requires no surgery or anesthesia, and causes no bleeding and no harm to normal tissues. It allows patients to retain their fertility with high safety, small side effects and an ultra-short recovery period. It can also be used for clinical studies of uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, cesarean scar pregnancy and placental implantation to help more women regain hope.
