On October 31, 2021, the Taiwan Gynecological HIFU Treatment Annual Conference and Academic Symposium, organized by the Taiwan Gynecological HIFU Treatment Medical Association and hosted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital, took place as scheduled.

Professor Cheng Cheng-Jie, the Executive Director of HIFU Society Taiwan and Chairman of Taiwan Xiuchuan, along with Minister Lin Da-Qin from Guo's General Hospital in Tainan, and Professor Wu Meng-Xing, were in attendance. The main focus of this symposium was the development and application of focused ultrasound non-invasive treatment in gynecological diseases.

During the conference, Professor Wu Meng-Xing delivered a lecture on the application of focused ultrasound non-invasive treatment in uterine adenomyosis.

A case study was presented about a 39-year-old patient with uterine adenomyosis who had been suffering from the disease. She was unable to conceive naturally and even after undergoing in vitro fertilization, the implanted embryos failed to result in a successful pregnancy. During this period, her condition of uterine adenomyosis worsened. However, after receiving three months of non-invasive focused ultrasound treatment using PRO’s focused ultrasound uterine fibroid treatment system, the patient successfully had the embryos implanted, leading to a successful twin pregnancy.

This successful case created an enthusiastic atmosphere at the conference, and everyone expressed great optimism about the prospects of focused ultrasound non-invasive treatment.

The experts presented the application of focused ultrasound non-invasive treatment in Taiwan through real case studies and detailed data. They also analyzed the advantages of PRO’s focused ultrasound uterine fibroid treatment system, such as its non-surgical, non-bleeding, non-damaging to normal tissues, anesthesia-free, and repeatable treatment capabilities.

The conference was rich and diverse in content, comprehensively covering the latest academic advancements in focused ultrasound non-invasive treatment in the field of gynecology. It also shared standardized clinical diagnosis and treatment techniques. The conference received enormous praise from attending experts and doctors, further advancing the application of focused ultrasound non-invasive treatment in Taiwan.
