Jiaxing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital has a history of 87 years, and it was a private Trinity Hospital established in 1932. It is now a grade A tertiary maternal and child health hospital integrating medical treatment, healthcare, research and teaching. It is also the Affiliated Maternity and Children’s Hospital of Jiaxing College, a teaching hospital for medical schools of higher learning in Zhejiang Province and the Jiaxing Maternity and Children Hospital Affiliated to Wenzhou Medical University.

The first phase of the hospital covers an area of 100 mu, with a construction area of 84,600 square meters and 720 beds. The second phase has a total construction area of approximately 52,900 square meters and will have 920 beds upon completion.

The hospital treated more than 1,283,000 outpatients and emergency patients, discharged 49,000 patients, delivered 13,000 babies and performed 15,000 surgeries in 2018. The hospital currently has more than 1,300 employees and 1,100 professionals. The number of professionals accounts for 90% of the total number of employees, including 5 doctors and 136 masters.

The department has one chief physician, three associate chief physicians, two attending doctors and two resident doctors.
